Some weddings are hard to describe in words, maybe some stories aren’t meant to be explained. We couldn’t be more happy being part of Maria Luca and Mike´s wedding. They traveled from the United States, and brought many friends and their families from whichever part of this world, to celebrate their destination Wedding in Portugal, between Lisbon and the Alentejo.
After the pre-wedding photoshoot in Lisbon, that we posted in the blog last week, now it’s time to reveal this final chapter. We traveled to Évora, where the event took place, between the classical old town at Eugénio de Almeida Foundation (the reception cocktail party) and the majestic Convento do Espinheiro.
For us, it is all about creating that connection. Because it will definitely prove the difference in our state of mind and motivations upon interpreting a wedding story. And allows us a better understanding about the couples family and friends. Photojournalism is also anticipation.
At the end of the day, we are those emotional guys telling a story, the cameras are just another tool, how we dream, we create, we live, how grateful we are being part of these greater happier days, making friends, creating memories. This is the important matter. All the rest, just peripherals.
Now for Maria and Mike, much love from Portugal, and… watch out for ‘Romanian Smiles’ picture in the church, right after the wedding ceremony… (now, that’s really intimidating!)
